The Sigma Tau Delta Nominating Committee announces a call for nominations/applications for the following positions:

Vice President/President-Elect

Two-year term, 2010-2012, with subsequent service as the Society President (2012-2014), followed by a two-year term as Immediate Past President (2014-2016).

Historian

Four-year term, 2010-2014, renewable

Regent

Eastern Region 
Four-year term, 2010-2014, renewable
High Plains Region
Four-year term, 2010-2014, renewable
Midwestern Region
Four-year term, 2010-2014, renewable
Southern Region
Four-year term, 2010-2014, renewable

Officer and Regent Duties

Officer and Regent applicants, at the time of election, must be a faculty sponsor of an active Sigma Tau Delta chapter. Regent applicants must be located within the region they seek to represent.

Applicants may apply directly by providing the information requested in the application.

Persons wishing to nominate individuals for Officer and Regent positions should send a one-page letter of nomination to William C. Johnson, Executive Director, Sigma Tau Delta, Department of English, Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, IL 60115-2863. Be sure to include the nominee's full name, address, telephone number, and email address in the letter of nomination.

Nominations/applications are due February 10, 2010.

Two-year term, 2010-2012

Call for SA Nominations/Applications

SA Duties

Student Advisor applicants must be Sigma Tau Delta members at a school with an active chapter and must plan on attending a school with an active chapter through the end of their elected term.

Applicants may apply directly by providing the information requested in the application.

Nominations/applications are due February 10, 2010.


Candidates for all Board positions should plan to attend the 2010 International Convention in St. Louis, MO, March 17-20, 2010. Candidates for the Vice President/President-Elect and the Historian positions will have the opportunity to make a brief presentation to the voting constituents at the business meeting. Candidates for the Regent positions will have the opportunity to make brief presentations at their regional caucuses prior to the election. Candidates for the Student Advisor position will be interviewed and appointed by the Board of Directors. Individuals will assume their offices at the end of the 2010 International Convention.
